About OpenFlix

A film industry that
runs on clips, not permission.

Making a film used to need a studio's money before anyone could see a frame of it. It doesn't any more. OpenFlix is built for the people that changed: filmmakers who can already show you the look, and need everything that comes after.

Three things, one place

Watch

A place independent films are shown

Features, series and short work, live-action and made with AI, presented properly rather than buried in a feed. If you only ever watch, this is the whole product.

Pitch

A room to pitch a film that isn't made yet

Most filmmakers have clips, not a finished feature. Build a pitch around what you have, gate the script and the numbers, and see exactly who opened it.

Pitch your film

License

A market for the rights a film needs

Voice, likeness, script, music and brand placement, licensed from the people who own them, with the agreement recorded rather than assumed.

Why it exists

A filmmaker with a proof-of-concept reel is in an odd position. The work is good enough to prove they can do it, and there is no established way to turn that into a funded project. The deck goes into an inbox and disappears.

Meanwhile the rights a film needs, a voice, a likeness, a piece of music, get used on a handshake or not at all, and the people who own them see none of it.

Both problems are the same problem: no record of who agreed to what. That is the part OpenFlix builds.

Straight answers

What is OpenFlix?
A home for independent film, whether it was shot on camera or made with AI. You can watch it, you can pitch one to people who fund projects, and you can license the voice, likeness, script and music rights that go into making them.
Is OpenFlix only for AI films?
No. Live-action, animated and AI-made films sit side by side, and every tool works the same for all of them. The tools assume a filmmaker who has proof-of-concept clips rather than a finished feature, which is the position most independent filmmakers are actually in, however they make the work.
Does OpenFlix fund films?
No. OpenFlix is not a broker, dealer, funding portal or investment adviser. It does not raise money, hold money for a project, or introduce you to investors. It gives you a professional way to present a project and control who sees it; any agreement is between you and the other party.
Who can see a pitch?
The filmmaker decides, room by room. A public front room is open to anyone with the link. Anything gated needs an account, and can additionally require identity verification, a signed NDA, or the filmmaker's explicit approval.
What does it cost to pitch?
Building a pitch is free and needs no card. Publishing asks you to verify your own identity once, which is why nobody listed in the Arena is anonymous.
Who is behind it?
OpenFlix is one of the properties operated by Open Labs, LLC, a Wyoming company, alongside OpenLuxe and its sister brands.
