Set a goal and a deadline
All or nothing: pledges are held, not charged, and nobody pays a cent unless the goal is met by the deadline. A film that does not fund costs its backers nothing.

Crowdfunding
The OpenFlix Film Fund is rewards crowdfunding for film. Backers pick a tier, get a reward, and pay nothing unless the goal is met. The platform takes 5%; the rest is yours to make the film with.
Rewards, not returns. OpenFlix is not a broker, a funding portal or an investment adviser.

02 How it works
01
All or nothing: pledges are held, not charged, and nobody pays a cent unless the goal is met by the deadline. A film that does not fund costs its backers nothing.
02
A name in the credits, a digital copy, the premiere, a producer credit. Rewards are things — merch, a membership, a credit — never a share of anything.
03
A brand can buy a placement in the film through the placements marketplace, alongside the crowd.
04
A partner promises to match what the crowd pledges, at a ratio, up to a cap. A match is a contribution, never an investment, and it reaches you in full — no platform fee on a match.
05
Live campaigns sit in the Film Funding Arena, where backers browse by type and by what is closest to funding.
03 Three reward tiers
The tier editor, as the product renders it. Each tier is a reward, a price and a count. What is charged sits at the bottom, and it is nothing until the goal is met.

05 Questions people actually ask
No. This is rewards crowdfunding: a backer gets a reward, never a share of the film or its revenue. OpenFlix is not a broker, a dealer, a funding portal or an investment adviser, and nothing on this page implies a return.
Nobody is charged. Pledges are held, not taken, and if the deadline passes short of the goal they are released. There are no refunds to chase because there was no charge.
A 5% platform fee on a funded campaign — the same platform fee as Kickstarter, with card processing included rather than added on top. A matching partner's contribution reaches you in full, with no platform fee on it at all.
Seven campaign types: a feature, a first feature, a documentary, a short, a series, animation and experimental. A first feature is its own type on purpose, because a debut is the single strongest reason a crowd backs someone it has never heard of.
